This is a great move when using the sniper rifle to get more kills in. Yes the sniper has the most damage in general, but it cannot kill in one shot (unless you get a headshot and/or you're in T/OSOK modes.). Uses of the sniper rifle are mainly to cause extra damage to players at a distance, hopefully killing one of them. Sometimes, you want to get in the battle, score a few kills, and return to the safety of your base to snipe some more. Apparently, scoring a few kills is hard with the sniper alone. The only ways to help this is to:
A. Throw grenades into enemy territory.
Or
B. Use the Sniper + Pistol combo.
How to use the SPC:
1. Shoot enemy with sniper rifle. (Make sure you do not miss, or you are guaranteed to die, unless the enemy also has a sniper rifle.)
2. Quickly switch to your sidearm (pistol) by moving the mouse wheel down (If you do not have a mouse wheel, press the two button on the row of number keys.)
3. Shoot the enemy one or twice, or until they die. This ensures a quick execution of the enemy.
4. Reload pistol, run to cover, reload sniper rifle, and repeat. (Or run back to base for health/ammo/etc.)
